Irish D-Day veteran dedicates French military honour to countrymen

Pat Gillen, 89, who was among the first wave of troops to invade Sword Beach on June 6 1944, was awarded the Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur in recognition of his role in the Normandy landings.
